Wire Balustrade Kit #51 – Eye/Hook System (Timber & Metal)

This DIY stainless wire balustrade kit is perfect for fixing 3.2mm stainless steel 316 wire rope (available from our website in a number of different reel sizes) to timber posts.

Suitable for wire rope runs less than 10 metres, between timber posts.

To determine the wire length required, measure the internal post-to-post measurement. Then cut the wire 60mm shorter than the measurement. For example, if your internal post-to-post measurement is 2000mm, your wire length will be 1940mm.

1x19 wire is unsuitable for looping around thimbles. A more flexible wire, either 7x7 (most common) or 7x19 must be used.
