Angled/Stair Section Post Design Service

This service is for projects where posts are required for your stairs or ramp, combined with wire balustrade. Note: The service is typically not required for regular standard posts with wire balustrade for flat sections such as on your deck or patio.

This service covers one stair section ie. two end posts on a staircase. Projects with multiple stair sections, angles or commercial projects will require additional professional services.

No two angled section projects are the same. There are a number of factors which influence how the posts accommodate wire balustrade. These include angle of the stairs, also called the goings-and-the-rises (rake), and the position of the posts on the stair treads/landings. End posts, which most often include rivnuts for fixing the wire assemblies, require holes to be drilled in the correct position and spacing to meet wire balustrade regulations, whilst ensuring a consistent architectural aesthetic.

Please note: If all you need are posts without wire balustrade, then typically no design service is required as there is no professional design service required. You can purchase off-the-shelf ready-made round tube posts with adjustable saddle tops. Or if you require square posts, all we require is the top angle (this is what the handrail will fit onto). Also, if you can produce your own post design with detail such as in the examples shown here, then we provide it to the manufacturing team, avoiding any design fee.
